Carry On F. Damgaard
Carry On was imported as a 3 year old from Denmark in 2004. He is registered Danish Warmblood while having a pedigree with a strong influence of classic Holsteiner. From 2006 to present, he has been in full time training with Harry Diel in Hoosick Falls, NY. Carry On's easy going temperament, willingness to work, athleticism and talent prompted us to present him to North American Danish Warmblood Assoc. (NADWA) for provisional approval in October of 2006. He received high scores at his inspection including 9 and 10 on free jumping 5 1/2', and 8's and 9's for gaits.
Scores averaging in the mid 70's at FEI for 6 year old horses the following show season (2007) qualified him for lifetime approval in the fall of that year. Based on his Holseiner pedigree (Stamm 813), we presented him to AHHA in the fall of 2008. Knowing their Performance in Sport Option requirements, we showed him at Fourth Level 2 in the summer of 2008 with 5 scores averaging 67%. He was Champion at his AHHA stallion inspection where he received final stallion approval. He competed successfully at PSG in 2009. In 2010, he received scores up to 70% at PSG (winning FEI high point award), and ended the season with a 69% at Intermediare 1. Carry On continues to show talent for Grand Prix as his piaffe and passage gain more refinement and his one-tempi's develop. As training has been our focus, we have only bred him once, to a Danish mare. His 4 year old son, Calisto, has inherited his father's sweet disposition and athleticism. Calisto finished Reserve Champion at the GAIG Breeders Cup Championship Final at NEDA Fall in 2008, consistently scoring in the high 70's. He is currently in full training, showing talent for dressage and jumping.
